2024-01-07 22:01:02 Here's a better screen cap of Sonia Manzano's soles from the toe counting scene in Sesame Street episode 1799. If you want to see the clip go to YouTube and search "Sesame Street 1799." I'd link the video here, but the clip has all the street scenes from that episode, which also contain minors, and so cannot be shown on this site. The toe counting scene runs from the beginning to the 2:30 mark.

2015-07-03 02:51:27 Sonia mazano better known as maria from sesame street I remember her from when I was a very young child I remember thinking I like her she is nice and pretty one day I will meet her I did when I was 9 or 10 my mom took me to sesame street live and got to meet her and got her autograph my mom put it up until we got a frame have not seen it sense it happens I was right she is pretty and nice. Now she is leaving sesame street after 44years by maria thank you for so many wonderful memories and for teaching me to sing the abcs i will miss you.

2015-07-03 05:07:24 As a boy, I saw her too. It was at my first Broadway show, Godspell. Though she was part of the original cast, I saw the show in revival. So the cast was different. Just by luck at our performance Sonia was filling in for the regular in her original part, Sexy Clown/The Mary Magdalene-like character. She was so beautiful.

2011-08-22 19:18:02 For those who might be wondering who she is, she's played Maria on 'Sesame Street' for 40 years. During that time, she showed off her feet several times, usually for the purpose of toe counting (like in the video). Of course this video is nothing compared to toe counting segment that featured a full screen sole shot that I saw when I was very young. I only hope that some day that clip comes to light.
