2021-04-04 06:21:25 Hyperthymesia.. I’ve never been told I have it but I recall things from kindergarten which is so far back it’s crazy.... It actually was a curse especially memories from jr high. Which was me a skinny kid being picked on all the time. I had to work hard to turn it off as one can’t go through life pissed off from things that happened eons ago..

2014-10-29 18:07:15 @tweety- HSAM, "Highly Superior Autobiographical Memory." I have her book. Only a few dozen of them identified so far.
Another is Eidetic memory aka "Photographic Memory." Several here are pretty damn close; @TRLB is one; I'm another. I don't have the *total* detailed recall of 'biographical' memory, but do pretty well, and much of it, *wish* I could forget. Also if I read something in a book, I can tell you about how far into the book the passage was, which side of the page and how far down. Fun. @MrHate has a Pornographic memory - He can tell you where a certain photo is in a gallery from several years back! |
