They're frame by frame captures, thank you very much. Take what you need and say thanks instead of criticising people who actually took the time and effort to post things like this for other's convenience.
tjacks (user)2015-07-09 17:53:28
There are 3 or 4 valid pictures in the mess that you uploaded.
Hitomifeet, read the site guidelines: "When considering a large amount of pictures from the same event (Red Carpet, Movie stills, etc..) the feet of the celebrity should be positioned differently in each picture, otherwise they will be deemed duplicate and should be reported as such."

This community is rotten to the core. It was way better when it was just Eli. Guidelines be damned, I'm speaking about the whole site now. I'm sick of all the pettiness. I see people being vile to each other whenever I come on here, I see unnecessary censorship and needless flagging all the time, I see ratings based on the popularity of the celebrity. Whatever happened to the simple mission statement of comprehensively documenting all visual media containing celeb feet? Like my words or not, anyone who happens to read this KNOWS that there is something seriously wrong with this site in general. I don't care if no-one ever reads this, a few people read it or a whole lot of people read it. It's been on my mind for a long time and needs to be said. I just don't give a damn about this place and its disappointingly unpleasant, ungrateful, leeching 'community' anymore. You all make me sick, and have done for a very long time.
Hell, I don't even like feet that much nowadays! Compared to 10 years ago anyway. I post stuff mainly for other people to enjoy, but what's the point really? I've been shat on so many times trying to be a contributing member to this site and silently bit my tongue whilst doing so, but no more. You deserve nothing.
How dare you call my contribution a mess. I take pride in being thorough with screencaps as people like to have options- apparently so much so to a point where you lot have become so entitled and ungrateful that you complain about having too much!

We're aware of the problems, but there's only one guy who has the power to fix them, for example the false reporting of uploads anonymously by any user. What do you suggest? We're just as frustrated as you are.

@BIB....you sound like a customer service rep at JCPenney!!!

I think our Admin died on April 1, 2015 midway through Fireside Chat.
@ShRed- James Cash Penney died in 1971, and it ain't been right since.

Ok, if I WERE to suggest something, even though it would be a very unrealistic/ambitious vision, I think WF should consider making inroads with The MousePad forum in some way. Bring back HITW but under the WikiFeet brand name, run it like an archive with it's own moderators (Eli and you guys), and leave the community/forum aspect to the MousePad guys and gals. Get rid of the arbitrary ratings for celebs and pepper a few banner ads around the place and you'll have a juggernaut on your hands.
It irritates me that an archived content wiki such as this has people actively PREVENTING images from being comprehensively archived. Like I mentioned earlier, I cap things for other people's enjoyment mainly nowadays, and seeing someone bitch about it unnecessarily is disappointing and discouraging. Especially when after responding someone has come up with the petty reaction of flagging practically all of the content on the page!
I apologise for not being able to control my personal offence in my reply. It's nice to be listened to, so thank you. I do appreciate it.
Thank you for a reasonable reply to my not so reasonable message. Do Guild members make the final decision on flags generated by all users? I'd love to take this opportunity to be heard, but I've completely checked out of the idea of any future investment of my time or effort in this community now. It really brings out the closet misanthrope in me.

You may write to Eli at Kreshnov@gmail.com, but I feel certain that he would want no collaboration with the Pad, in part because he is an a̶r̶r̶o̶g̶a̶n̶t̶ ̶c̶o̶n̶t̶r̶o̶l̶ ̶f̶r̶e̶a̶k̶ ̶k̶n̶o̶w̶-̶i̶t̶-̶a̶l̶l̶ independent, free-thinking and opinionated man who has difficulty delegating responsibility or sharing power.
Really the Guild as a body and as individuals have almost no real authority or say here; they're just unpaid labor.
@Hitomifeet>"Do Guild members make the final decision on flags generated by all users?" NO, and the Admin said, "NO!" to that idea ("Too much power in the hands of too few.") As it stands, any picture can be anonymously reported by any logged user, and if he manipulates a few multiple accounts at certain times of day, can remove any content on the site. Several entire galleries have recently been removed overnight by a vandal or vandals. As you say, it's frustrating trying to get a comprehensive archive when so many are out anonymously removing content.
tjacks (user)2015-07-10 01:01:21
I will say that your mission to comprehensively archive images is at odds with the rules of the board. I gather from your first reply that you don't care for the guidelines, which is fair enough. But galleries can become VERY cluttered with duplicate images, which makes them unpleasant to browse. It isn't as bad on a less trafficked wall like Jenna's, but on popular walls entire pages of the gallery can be duplicate poses from red carpet events.
The 'Group Similar Pictures' option seems like it would be an answer, but it doesn't seem to work from my experience. Perhaps every event, photoshoot, red carpet, etc... could have its own 'Album' on each girl's main page where uploaders could go nuts. I'm not sure if that is feasible or enforceable.
Anyways, thanks for your efforts in uploading photos. We may disagree on the desired amount of content, but you do good work.
@Hitomifeet, first I apologize for the 'mess' comment. That came across meaner than I intended.
BackInBlack60 (guild knight)2015-07-10 01:09:22
The Admin/Owner has suggested that about six to ten *at most* of similar pictures from the same event/source is *plenty.* Upload limits (per user per gallery per day) have even been suggested to prevent stuff like this and other 'Kohler' uploads ("everything but the kitchen sink")

I tend to only focus on soles, as they have always been the 'rare fruit' for me. I can give or take other foot shots but include them anyway for others. In my personal collection I've only kept about 3 of these caps. I understand your frustration of having to wade through countless red carpet photos and low quality bulk submissions to boost some arbitrary submission percentage- mentioning no names (hint: it rhymes with Hister Mate!).
@BackInBlack60> If I'm going to perfectly open and honest, I'm still hurting over the fall of HITW and a lot of it's archived content (yes I know it's been quite a few years since that happened now!). I found it absolutely baffling why the site owner (Mouse) did not release and seed torrents of the content before the plug was pulled forever, as I have quite a few things 'trapped' on an old hard-drive which I've NEVER been able to find again on the internet to this day. I was an active mid-level contributing member to The Mouse Pad (Omelette du Fromage / ODF) back from about 2000 to 2006 and witnessed some now legendary scans, caps and finds coming to fruition. HITW and the way you submitted content (via the forums) wasn't perfect, but it was reassuring to know that its content was protected once it was archived on the website.
The wiki approach is a fine idea in theory, but the moderators need to be trusted with more of the inner workings, because there are more than a few individuals out there who are running amok. Does WF have the feature to 'revert' pages like other wikis, in instances of vandalism?
@tjacks> Thanks for your apology and your kind words. I appreciate you taking the time to write back. I apologise in turn for generalising WF's patrons. I'll always be a little biased due to the amount of largely un-policed squabbling, trolling and vitriol I've witnessed (and stayed away from) over the years here, and for another reason that I shall start in a new paragraph to BIB60.

@Hitomifeet>"Does WF have the feature to 'revert' pages like other wikis, in instances of vandalism?" Yes, and it has had to be done here twice recently, in two galleries that were entirely removed overnight. The *trick* is getting the Admin to find the time to restore them, since it's a one-man show.

I've neither the time nor the inclination, but you sound awfully motivated, and alone or with help of some other like-minded folk, could probably make some amazing archaeological discoveries.
Others here have used it to 'resurrect' old Wikifeet Walls (some which should probably be left in their graves).
@Hitomifeet- I wonder if you or anyone has ever plugged the old URL(s) into The Wayback Machine aka The Internet Archive and tried to retrieve & salvage some of the precious old 'lost' content from HITW or other 'defunct' sites of its ilk?
