Heroes on VHS?! Damn @tweety, I sold my VCR in 1998 for a DVD player!

@Revan- there's you mistake! I still have two working Beta players, several VHS, a bunch of cassette decks, turntables, and two working 8-track players. Also have 'new' stuff like MP3 player & Blu-Ray, but retro is fun... and popular. MANY 'kids' are now collecting VINYL!

Music on vinyl is awesome. But tapes? The worst invention ever! The quality is miserable & they wear out over time. My world has been digital almost from the get go. I bought my first CD player in 1990. Had a Sony Discman as well and digital cable TV from the early 90s forward.

@Revan Yeah I've since upgraded to disc recorders back then the prices were still outrageously high and VCR was just starting to fade,

@Revan- Some of the stuff I've got on Beta & VHS is not even available now. Agree on tape stretching, losing quality, etc. Still love my vinyl though, but for sure, MP3's in a tiny thumb drive or MP3 player is more portable & reliable! @tweety and I and most of us on this site were around when MTV really *was* Music Television.. just wall-to-wall videos! Watched it from the very beginning ('81?) and recorded a lot of videos on my brand new Sanyo Beta recorder! :)
