Why exactly is cute a wrong word for an adult woman? Woman can be cute even if she's 60.

She's very cute! Perhaps that words doesn't carry over well into German. We use it for any 'girl' or young woman (usually not 60 but it could) and not just 'little girls' here. It's got a slightly different idea or tone than 'beautiful' or 'pretty' but is close to saying 'pretty.' In English, can also mean 'clever' but I rather doubt that Ashley is very 'clever.'

Well yeah, it didn't seem weird to me cause I'm fluent in English. Good to know it's different in other languages.

A lot of adult women don't like to be called cute. It means "you're almost beautiful".

In German we usually use the word 'süß' only in regard to little kids.
'Cute' means 'süß' in German.
