2017-01-21 12:38:17 Out of curiosity, are there really that many people who are non-fetishists taking time out to visit and critique feet simply based on aesthetics and symmetry? It's a serious question. I just have trouble imagining this site attracting more than 1% non-fetishists. I just don't know anyone who doesn't like feet that would take the time to visit here, so that's why I ask.

2017-05-15 04:03:40 I can't imagine why anyone without our fetish would visit here either. Who knows, maybe fans of certain women find out about this site and come here to vote them up. In any case, I've seen more than a few women getting high ratings for average or below average feet. Sometimes that's because other fetishists like a foot that I don't find attractive, but other times it seems they're voting on the woman's overall attractiveness rather than her feet.

Problem is most “voters” here give gorgeous ratings to woman who don’t have anything close to a foot that would be considered gorgeous but the woman herself is. This is a site for people who prefer to check out feet, for sure, but some fetishists here just qualify a foot that has five toes amazing! Lol smh

The "fetish" label comes from people who don't appreciate feet, and then non-thinking people repeat it as if it were fact. It is more of a comment about them than men like me. I don't know about you, but I would rather admire what I perceive to be the "perfect female foot" than the esteemed "Statue of David." I would not call those who fly overseas, purchase a ticket, and stand in line to see that sculpture as having a "stone fetish."

2022-12-20 18:00:54 Wow, this is an old thread, but it's interesting! BackInBlack60 used the term "foot fetishist" and I think that often has different interpretations. Some people understand "fetish" to have an element of submission to some idolized person, and worship of what is seen as the lowest/dirtiest part of their body as a symbol of that. In this case, the feet aren't of interest because of their physical characteristics, but because of the person they belong to, and from that perspective his comment makes some sense to me.
Regardless of the reasons, there does seem to be a significant camp who find feet attractive only within the context of who they belong to, and the physical characteristics of the feet are of minor importance, if at all. People in this camp don't need to browse galleries to find out which feet they like; they already know the celebrities whose feet they want to see, and it seems that would drastically skew the sample of celebrities they rate accordingly. |

2022-12-20 18:24:21 Good point. I shouldn't make it about distinct groups, so much as it is about the perspective. I think you're right that most people are not completely of one or the other. I just find it interesting how little differences can skew high-level numbers like this. To one camp, it looks like the other has no standards, and everything is a 5, but it could largely be an issue of selection bias.

In their minds, they have GOT to be great based on the young sweetie they are attached to... And when pics emerge disproving these hopes and dreams, there's a tendency to remain loyal to those feet anyway. People have expressed that exact sentiment in the comment section of some celebs where this has happened.
